Increased Caribbean Support of Hanging

A new poll reported on in IPS notes a troubling increase in support of the death-penalty despite a large recognition of judicial error and corruption. This suggests an increasing frustration with the inability of governments in the region to stop the rise in crime and violence.

Political analyst Bill Johnson states in response“La población quiere que se haga algo, y no necesariamente piensa en forma lógica” (the population wants something to be done, and are necessarily thinking logically about the matter).
